Are you looking for a rewarding, hands-on job this summer? Whether you're a college student interested in natural resources or agriculture, or just someone who enjoys outdoor work with a purpose, Aerial Vegetation & Imagery Solutions has a spot for you on our summer crew!

We're currently hiring for temporary summer positions that offer the chance to work with cutting-edge spray drone technology while helping restore native landscapes across Uvalde and surrounding counties.

What You'll Be Doing

This isn’t your average summer gig. Our work is boots-on-the-ground and mission-driven. Here’s what your days might look like:

- Making spot applications of herbicide using backpack sprayers to control invasive species along creeks and rivers

- Walking rugged terrain—often through dense brush and steep creek banks—on both public and private lands

- Lifting and carrying equipment (up to 50 lbs.) across uneven ground

- Working early mornings in true Texas summer heat (yes, it's often over 100°F!)

- Safely pulling and backing a trailer to transport gear and equipment

We offer a flexible schedule, which is great if you're taking summer classes or have other commitments. The position lasts between 45 to 60 days.

Expand Your Skills with Drone Tech

In addition to fieldwork, this position offers an exciting opportunity to support our drone operations in two key roles:

Visual Observer (VO):

You’ll work closely with our licensed drone pilots to ensure safe and efficient aerial applications. That includes keeping visual line of sight on drones, swapping and charging batteries, and helping monitor surroundings for safety.

Pesticide Handler:

You'll mix and prepare herbicides used in drone spray applications and transfer them safely into spray tanks—always following label instructions and best practices.

No Experience? No Problem.

While experience with herbicides or land management is a plus, we provide full training in:

- Pesticide safety and record-keeping

- Application techniques

- Brush and invasive species management

Perks of the Job

- Competitive pay

- Gain practical experience in modern land management

- Exposure to ranch work, animal husbandry, and drone operations

- Be part of a team making a visible difference in Texas landscapes
